Welcome to the CHW Workforce Development Section of our website.
In this section, you will find information about our workforce advisory board members, CHWs, workforce development information, and resource tools for employers and CHW/Ps alike.
Our workforce development advisory board is made up of a diverse group of CHW/Ps from across the state as well as individuals representing CHW employers, CHW training organizations, workforce policy experts, health and social service providers, and institutions of higher education. The group, and a broad array of stakeholders, continue to work tirelessly over the course of a two-year period to develop and implement the strategic plan and recommendations organized under five overarching categories: development of a career pathway, identify training, and addressing gaps in certification; financing, reimbursement, and workforce development; and help to raise awareness of the value and effectiveness of CHW/Ps in improving health outcomes, increasing access to services, and building community and systems capacity.
Feel free to download the information and share it within your networks. These are living documents. We encourage members and stakeholders to visit the section often as added resources and tools will be made available for review, and/or are subject to updates and change.
