The Florida Community Health Worker Coalition is a statewide multisector partnership dedicated to the promotion of the Community Health Worker profession and serving communities impacted by health disparities through collaboration, training, advocacy, and leadership. Community Health Workers/Promotoras (CHW/Ps) help individuals access evidenced-based community health promotion programs (EBPs) and address health related social needs. We educate, provide information on available resources, offer social support, and advocate for individual and community health needs.

Our training equips CHW/Ps and other health care professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively connect individuals and families to health and social services supporting our goal of having well-trained frontline health professionals. Our volunteers and members are reflective of the diverse communities CHW/Ps serve, ensuring that we understand the unique challenges faced by individuals and families. We are recruiting volunteers who share similar backgrounds, cultures, and experiences. We aim to build stronger connections through our subgroups and programs, ultimately improving the effectiveness of our programs and support services statewide.
